Men's Soccer Advances to SAC Tourney Finals
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Lions' men's soccer team eliminated the No. 2 seed, Wingate University 4-1 Friday afternoon in the semifinals of the 2009 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Soccer Tournament to advance to the championship match on Sunday. The event was played at Manchester Meadows. MHC improved to 8-7-4 on the season while Wingate fell to 12-4-1 on the year. GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - Freshman Bo Cordell passed for 366 yards and four touchdowns, and Ryan Tallent became the program’s all-time receptions leader as Tusculum defeated Mars Hill 38-28, on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field. Jonas Randolph also had an impressive day for MHC. Randolph (Daleville, Ala.) had a monster game as he rushed for a career-best 260 yards on 38 carries, including four touchdowns.
