 NEWTON, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's cross country team finished sixth at the 2009 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Championship at Southside Park.
The top finisher for the Lions was Hannah Moore (Franklin, N.C.). She finished 19th overall in a time of 22:09.79.
Next in line for the team was Rachael Rogers (Clayton, Ga.). She finished 28th overall in 22:59.90.
Lenoir-Rhyne finished in first place overall. It was the second consecutive championship for the Bears.
