 GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Mars Hill volleyball team defeated North Greenville, 3-0, Friday night in the first game of the Limestone Tournament. Tonight's victory marked the second time in less than a week the Lions defeated the Crusaders.
Mars Hill won in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-18 and 25-16. The Lions improve to 4-1, while the Crusaders fall to 3-4.
Traci Teague (Ramseur, N.C.) led the Mars Hill offensive attack with 12 kills. Laura Ann Huskey (West Henderson, N.C.) and Danielle Mason (Westerville, Ohio) each had nine kills. Kelsci Flora (Mishawaka, Ind.) recorded 24 digs.
The Lions will conclude play in the Limestone Tournament on Saturday against Lander and Limestone. The match against Lander will begin at 11 a.m. The match against Limestone will begin at 3 p.m.
