Region Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Mars Hill football team, currently 4-2 overall and 4-1 against Division II competition, moved up five spots from last week in the second release of regional rankings. The Lions are ranked No. 5 in Super Region II, according to the NCAA Division II Football Committee.
Mars Hill defeated Newberry this past Saturday by a score of 34-28. Jonas Randolph (Daleville, Ala.) was named SAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Carson-Newman is ranked third in the Super Region II standings. Wingate checks in this week at No. 7. North Alabama remained a top of the Super Region II poll.
The Lions will travel to Brevard this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
