Jonas RandolphNEWBERRY, S.C. - Mars Hill running back Jonas Randolph and offensive lineman Josh Sims have been named to the 2009 Daktronics Super Region II First Team.

Randolph, from Daleville, Ala., was the leading vote-getter for his position. He was also named South Atlantic Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year earlier this month. Randolph led the league in rushing yards (1,804), all-purpose yards (1,879) and touchdowns (19).

Sims, a Sumter, S.C., native, was also voted First Team All-South Atlantic Conference in 2009. He started eight games for the Lions at right guard and was part of an offensive line that helped Mars Hill average 197.4 rushing yards per game.

Both Randolph and Sims are eligible for the 2009 Daktronics All-American team.

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. Voting for the all-region and All-American teams is powered by ATHLETICSITE.COM.
