Junior center Denise Moore (Newport News, Va.) scored 12 of her 14 points in the first 20 minutes of play.

In the second half, the Lions were unable to get any closer than 17 points the entire second half and trailed by as much as 29 down the stretch. A 16-4 run in the second half covering nearly six minutes sealed the contest for the Bears.
