 MARS HILL , N.C. -- The Mars Hill volleyball team defeated Virginia Intermont in impressive fashion Tuesday night inside Stanford Arena 25-12, 25-10 and 25-12. The Lions improve to 7-8. The Cobras fall to 0-24.
Danielle Mason starred offensively for MHC with 10 kills. Jessica Britt capped a strong defensive effort, posting a double-double with 14 assists and 10 digs.
VIC was led by Christina Laoo with 10 assists. Kaitlin Crutchley had 12 digs for the Cobras.
The Lions recorded more kills than VIC, 31-16. MHC also posted more digs, 43-35, and more blocks, 7-0, than the Cobras.
MHC's next home match will be on October 17 against Brevard. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
