 MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill volleyball team lost to Lincoln Memorial in Stanford Arena in three games Saturday night by scores of 25-22, 25-12, and 25-18. The Lions fall to 8-16, 1-13 in the SAC. The Lady Railsplitters improve to 18-10, 6-7 in the conference.
Amanda Horenkamp (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) posted a double-double for LMU with 12 kills and 12 digs. Lauren Kiwacka (Tipp City, Ohio) also had a double-double for the Lady Railsplitters with 11 digs and 25 assists. Krysten Adsuara (Aiea Hawaii) netted 11 digs for LMU.
Evie Tafunai (Edwardsburg, Mich.) was the driving force for Mars Hill's offense with 10 kills. Lindsay Phillips (Rosman, N.C.) recorded 15 digs. Sarah Paquette (Swannanoa, N.C.) dished out 13 assists for the Lions.
Lincoln Memorial totaled more kills and digs than Mars Hill with 43-32 and 72-36, respectively.
Mars Hill hosts Lenoir-Rhyne University on November 7. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
