Jessica BrittMARS HILL, N.C. - The Brevard Tornados came back from a two game deficit to defeat Mars Hill in Stanford Arena in South Atlantic Conference action. The Tornados now move to 10-11 and 2-8 in the conference, while the Lions drop to 7-11 and 1-8 in the SAC.

Mars Hill jumped out to 2-0 lead, including a commanding 25-9 second stanza triumph. The Lions were led by Evie Tafunai's (Edwardsburg, Mich.) double-double (14 kills, 11 digs). Offensively Lindsay Phillips (Rosman, N.C.) and Traci Teague (Ramseur, N.C.) each posted 11 kills. Defensively Kelly Koziel (New Carlisle, Ind.) recorded an impressive 31 digs. Jessica Britt (Chesapeake, Va.) had 18 assists.

The Lions were unable to sustain the momentum as Brevard captured the last three games (25-21, 25-23, 15-10) to win the match.

Chelsea Trojan's (Sacramento, Calif.) double-double (13 kills, 11 digs) highlighted Brevard's comeback. Brooke Seaman (Spring Hill, Fla.) scored 19 kills for the Tornados. Jami Perry (Greer, S.C.) and Chelsea Larsen (Greer, S.C.) were in double figures for digs with 19 and 10, respectively.

Mars Hill returns to action on October 21 at Tusculum at 7 p.m. Brevard hosts Wingate on October 18 at 7 p.m.
