MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's and women's swim teams continued their winning ways by beating Milligan College Saturday afternoon. The women's team improves to 8-0. The men's team improves to 7-0.
The Lion men and women each won 12 out of 14 events. The men's team defeated the Aqua Buffs 172-71. The women's team won 183-50.
 Ed Smith (Blairsville, Ga.) and PJ Maloney (Corning, N.Y.) posted four wins apiece for the men. Smith won the 100 Yard Breaststroke, 200 Yard Breaststroke, 200 Yard Individual Medley and 200 Yard Medley Relay. Maloney placed first in the 200 Yard Butterfly, 500 Yard Butterfly, 200 Yard Medley Relay and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. Other winners included Luke Hoffman (Fort Wayne, Ind.) in the 1000 Yard Freestyle, 200 Yard Medley Relay and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay; Brian Viens (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay; Mike Wilkes (Lake Placid, Fla.) in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay; Yonatan Arnold (Moore, Okla.) in the 100 Yard Freestyle and 200 Yard Medley Relay; and Sam Mashburn (Cumming, Ga.) in the 100 Yard Butterfly.
 Tiffany Golding (Dobson, N.C.) and Rebekah Thomas (Stanley, N.C.) each had four wins. Golding won the 50 Yard Freestyle, 500 Yard Freestyle, 200 Yard Medley Relay and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. Thomas took the top spot in the 1000 Yard Freestyle, 200 Yard Backstroke, 200 Yard Individual Medley and 200 Yard Medley Relay. Other winners on the women’s side included Lena Palo (Lexington, S.C.) in the 200 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard Freestyle and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay; Nikki Holt (Kennesaw, Ga.) in the 100 Yard Butterfly and 200 Yard Medley Relay; Ana Chocarro (Madrid, Spain) in the 200 Yard Butterfly; and Lara Brockwell (Asheville, N.C.) in the 100 Yard Backstroke.
Mars Hill will host Warren Wilson February 8 at 3 p.m.
