Jennifer NanceMARS HILL, N.C. - The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) wishes to thank everyone that attended the softball doubleheader against Catawba last Wednesday and helped with "Strikeout for Cancer." The SAAC raised $50 for the Kay Yow Cancer Foundation, announced Jennifer Nance on Monday.

"The 'Strikeout for Cancer' was a huge success," said Nance. "It was nice to see both the students and community come out to help us raise money for such a worthy cause. Our Student Athlete Advisory Committee has done a great job this year taking on projects like this and making them successful. Hopefully we can build on this and make it an even better event next year."

The Kay Yow Cancer Foundation is a charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.
