ETOWAH, N.C. - Josh Spalding was named to the 2009 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference All-Tournament Men’s Golf Team, league officials announced. He is joined on the First Team by four other league members.
Spalding finished the tournament in third place. The Weaverville, N.C., native carded back-to-back 71s before recording the final round with a 77 to finish two strokes out of first place.
Spalding is joined on the SAC All-Tournament First Team by Tusculum’s Chase Carroll, Cory Bartlett of Lincoln Memorial University, Brad Robinson (Carson-Newman) and Eric Kennedy (Lincoln Memorial).
David Crawford (Wingate), Ben Lown (Newberry) and Brandon Burnside (Newberry) earned spots on the All-Tournament Second Team, along with Daniel Stanley (Newberry) and Kent George (Lenoir-Rhyne).
The SAC Championship was held at the Par 72, 6,796-yard Etowah Valley Country Club and Golf Resort.
