Stoney PoliteMARS HILL, N.C. - Mars Hill junior guard Stoney Polite recently joined elite company. The Morganton, N.C., native now has scored 1,013 points in his three years wearing the blue and gold.

Polite has scored 157 points this season in 19 games, an average of 8.3 points per game. He is tied for second on the team with 24 made three-point field goals.

Just ahead of Polite are Jim Medford (1,016 points), Tony Davison (1,026 points), and Stanley Wheless (1,026 points).

The Lions will travel to Newberry on February 4. Tip-time is set for 8 p.m.
