 MARS HILL, N.C. - Lion wide receiver Tyrea Allen (Murphy, N.C.) has been selected to play in East Coast Bowl VIII. The game will be played November 29 at Cameron Field in Petersburg, Va. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m.

Allen led the Mars Hill receiving corps this past season with 37 receptions for 866 yards. His 78.7 receiving yards per game were tied for tops in the conference. He hauled in six touchdown catches, good for second on the team. He also scored one rushing touchdown. For his efforts Allen was named to the 2008 South Atlantic Conference First Team Offense.
The East Coast Bowl is an annual college football All-Star game that features the most elite Division I-FCS, II, III and NAIA college football players from across the Mid-Atlantic region.
