In the two games, Matt Oleski (West Seneca, N.Y.) led MHC at the plate going 3-7 with two homeruns and five RBI. Greg Smith (Murrells Inlet, S.C.) picked up the win (1-0) in game one while Brian Wolf (Buffalo, N.Y.) took the loss (0-2) in game two.

Game 1: MHC 6, LEC 3
MHC scored three runs in their first at-bat off four hits highlighted by a RBI double from Davidson. Lake Erie tied the game 3-all after scoring one run in the second inning and a pair of runs in the third frame.

The Lions put the contest away in the sixth inning scoring three runs on the same number of hits. Oleski hit his first homerun on the day in the inning belting a two-run blast down the left field line.

Game 2: LEC 10, MHC 6

The second game started in reverse order of the first as the Storm plated three runs in their first at-bat on four hits highlighted by a two-run homer by Ben Reed. LEC then scored three more runs in the third inning, again on four hits. Brandon James hit a homerun to right-center to drive in two of the three runs for the Storm.

The Lions battled back scoring four runs in the bottom half of the third inning, also on four hits. Oleski accounted for three of the runs hitting his second long ball of the day.

LEC added two runs in the fourth inning and a single run in the fifth before MHC scored their final two runs in the sixth stanza. Tim Liberty (St. Petersburg, Fla.) and Davidson drove in the two runs for the Lions. LEC added an insurance run in the seventh inning to make the final tally, 10-6.

Mars Hill will travel to Wingate University on Friday to begin a three-game SAC series. The teams will meet for a single game Friday night at 7 p.m. and then play a double-header on Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
